choppy CS:S? new update?

anyone think the new update, the one with the minimap, screw up their fps? mines rly noticible. not like seconds of chop but like u can see the gun falling on the ground in different frames.

im not sure if it was the new update or the new dreivers i got, anyone have any ideas on what i should do?

I have a 6800gs and the patch didn't do anything to impact my performance. Do you know forsure if it's your FPS or is it your rates?

Rates make it look choppy sometimes, do net_graph 1 in console to see your fps.

doesn't matter what your ping is for the problem you are having, it's your rates that are messed up probably. Go google counterstrike source rates or something along those lines and find a guide on how to set them up.

Counterstrike source works different then most games with how the screen is updated, a lot of it depends on your rates.
