CCTV Remote access

I'm trying to set up remote access for my brothers security cameras and not sure how to do it. he uses pico2000 software and it has remote access on it. I set up a static ip for the computer with the capture card but not really sure what else i need to do. I'd appreciate any help, thanks



He has windows xp,cable modem,linksys router. let me know if more information is needed

I am not familiar with the software, but you will most likely need to log into the router at the location, and forward a specific port or a number of ports to the computer with the capture card.

Thanks I went on the CCTV forums and found that is what i need to do( forward ports) i have yet to try it. but i appreciate the response
