Hi guys!
For some reason I can't reach the vast majority of websites using my HP nc8000 laptop that is connected to my desktop via Wi-Fi. My desktop PC is configured to share its internet connection (ADSL) with the laptop.
Windows networking works fine - I see shared files, can play LAN games between 2 computers, etc.
But when I surf web on my laptop most of the sites are unreachable.
E.g. google.com can be accessed w/o probs but say microsoft.com is not. When I use desktop I can reach all web sites.
Can anybody give a hint or two on how to solve this?
Here's the list of my hardware:
--[ Desktop ]--
OS: Windows XP Pro (w/o SP2)
Ethernet: ADSL Router D-Link 500T
Wi-Fi: D-Link AirPlus G DWL-G122 Wireless USB Adapter (rev.B)
--[Laptop]--
Brand: HP nc8000
OS: Windows XP Pro SP2
Maybe I should do something with my router settings?
Please suggest something!
Thanks beforehand!
Eugene
