If your boat is over 4 meters, you do not need a boating license.

Q. My boat is over 4m. Why should I get the card now?
A. There are many advantages to having the card now, such as:

* Without the card, you cannot operate PWCÂ’s or powered boats under 4m (13.1 ft). This law applies not only to the boats you own, but also to any boats you operate (such as a friendÂ’s or neighbourÂ’s boat).
* Your boat insurance may increase if you do not have the Card.
* The exam will likely get harder and more expensive in the future.
* The Card is good for life (and you need to get it eventually).
* The Card is recognized across Canada and the USA

There was also one that prohibited selling of light-colored cafeinated beverages. Our regular Mountain Dew had no caffeine. In the US, it has a hell of a lot of it. Except now, we have an "Energy" Mountain Dew thats marketed as a medical energy drink, so I think they kinda skirted the law.

Another one is that there has to be a hitching post (for horses) outside of every "The Bay" store.

OK here's one: Apparently here in England, in Chester you can legally kill a Welshman after dark with a crossbow on a Sunday within the city walls.

Also apparently suicide is only illegal if it's successful.

Here is a few for Idaho:

#
Illegal for a man to give his sweetheart a box of candy weighing less than fifty pounds.
#
You may not fish on a camel's back.
#
Riding a merry-go-round on Sundays is considered a crime.
#
If a police officer approaches a vehicle and suspects that the occupants are engaging in sex, he must either honk, or flash his lights and wait for three minutes before approaching the car.
