I know my router provides a tool like that. Yes, it's possible

I use some 2WIRE router.. I don't know what it's called, but it's a nice router. The UI for it is very nice.

Plain and simple, we don't know what your parents have setup, but they can find out. There is software on both your computer and on the router that can tell this. They can be on the same network and determine this from another computer if they wanted and knew how.
