Can my Windows 7 key still be used?

So here's the story. An old PC was starting to run slowly on a pre installed Win 7. About a few months ago I decided to install Windows 8 on it with the intentions of purchasing an activation key. I never actually got around to purchasing a key but with the announcement of the free Win 10 upgrade I plan to wipe my HD reinstall Win 7.

There is a product key on the sticker of my old PC. Will that still work if I reinstall Win 7?

Yes, as long as you have a reinstall disc that matches the version for your key it will work.
