Currently looking at upgrading my netbook from windows xp to windows 7? However can the Intel Atom N270 run a 64-bit OS? Or do I need to pick up a 32-bit version?

[EDIT]Just did some more googling on that, and the answer is NO, I can not.[/EDIT]

In all honesty with the fact that almost all netbooks out there under the $500 range max out at 4GB, there really isnt a reason to run 64 Bit on them. Most come standard with 1GB with 2GB kits available. Some higher end ones that go for $400 or more have more RAM but still there isnt much need for a netbook to use 64 Bit. Other than to finally kill off that technology.

As Mak said, even if it were possible there isn't much reason. My netbook has 2GB, and I just use 32-bit.
