Can a Linux noob do LFS?

I want to learn Linux. Can a noob at Linux do the Linux from scratch distro? I feel like this would be the best way to learn it.

Yes, IMO there are good walkthroughs on youtube and on certain websites I remember reading how-to's when I was thinking about it before I went back to school

I went with Ubuntu instead. I got to nervous about it lol. Btw I love Ubuntu. My past experience with Linux has been fedora, opensuse, and some Linux servers we use at work which are nothing but the CLI"s so nothing special.
