Cable problem

I just got my cable connection and im having a problem with streaming. I try to go into the iTunes music store and it syays im not conected. I try to stream in WMP and nothing will happen. i try to stream in quicktime and it says im not connected. Does anyone know why this is? Can anyone help me fix this?

probably a firewall. disable xp firewall and things like zonealarm and see if it then works. if it does, then you know were to go from there.
