Bulb broken off TV remote fix?

So basically our TVs remote has two bulbs, one got broken off and got lost. Now the remote doesn't work. The other bulb is still attached and works. Can I jump the connection from where the broken bulb was and fix the remote by making it run on one bulb?

Could always just replace the IR bulb.

Naa, I'm just lookin for a quick temp fix cuz we're gonna buy a new remote anyway. I'm just gonna try jumping the connection and if that doesn't work the remote is going in the bin

Lol just connect two voltage sources together and put them behind an led that was only meant to be powered off one of them? What could go wrong! good thing it's presumably only got like AA's to work off.
