Hi, I'm looking to build a computer for the first time for around $800, don't really mind if it's a little bit over. I don't have much knowledge on the subject but what I primarily want is a computer that can stay cool and smoothly run wow/bf3 and maybe play a movie at the same time. Here's what i had in mind:
Case/Power Supply: Not sure. Is it ok to get a case with a built-in power supply or should I buy them separately?
Together: Newegg.com - Antec Sonata III 500 Black 0.8mm cold rolled steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case 500W Power Supply
Separate: Newegg.com - Antec Nine Hundred Black Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case
Newegg.com - SeaSonic S12II 620 Bronze 620W ATX12V V2.3 / EPS 12V V2.91 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Power Supply
CPU: Trying to decide between i5 and i7. I want something to work well but at the same time I don't want to buy something that exceeds my needs.
Newegg.com - Intel Core i5-2500K Sandy Bridge 3.3GHz (3.7GHz Turbo Boost) 4 x 256KB L2 Cache 6MB L3 Cache LGA 1155 95W Quad-Core Desktop Processor BX80623I52500K
Internal Hard Drive: Don't care much for room just want something fast and reliable.
Newegg.com - Western Digital Caviar Black WD6401AALS 640GB 7200 RPM 32MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive -Bare Drive
Memory: Again, just want something fast. Does higher memory make a significant difference or is 8gb plenty for what I'll be running?
Newegg.com - G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333 (PC3 10666) Desktop Memory Model F3-10666CL9D-8GBRL
Motherboard: Really know nothing about this lol.
Newegg.com - ASUS P8P67 (REV 3.0) LGA 1155 Intel P67 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard with UEFI BIOS
Video Card: I'm going to be using 1080p TV as a monitor if that means anything.
Newegg.com - EVGA 01G-P3-1373-AR GeForce GTX 460 (Fermi) Superclocked EE 1GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Support Video Card
All input is greatly appreciated. I know a lot of what I said probably made no sense but I have little experience when it comes to computer hardware. Is everything I listed compatible? Am I missing anything? Thank you for reading
BTW, is there a site without mail in rebates?
