um did i miss out anything?

thx for all your help im new at this kind of stuff

crap did i post at wrong place? can a mod delete this ill post at the right place. thx

everything seems to check out except your ram. it probably wont sync. i suggest shopping for some ddr400 ram instead. also, buying an athlon64 FX chip is a waste of extra money that can go to other nice gear, unless you need the extra speed...i would go with the athlon 64 4000. finally, get a good heatsink thats compatable with your cpu. the stock heatsink isnt good insurance.

also, the cheapest for your video card might run you in the $300's up to the $400's. hop onto pricewatch.com to find your stuff.

when you finish building, benchmark it or something for us.

its easy to go by popular demand on selecting heatsinks...usually newegg has reviews from others that have purchased it and that can help you out.

for a little in depth about heatsinks...its all about material!

there are copper heatsinks and aluminum heatsinks. aluminum is good at radiating heat but not at conducting. copper is good at conducting but not radiating. there are combination copper/aluminum heatsinks, but in my experience, single metallic heatsinks perform much better.

if you dont plan on overclocking, then the one that comes with the cpu would be fine. just buy a little thermal paste and you're set. hope this helps.

yes it does help alot. i dont really plan on overclocking because im afraid ill **** everything up and plus i dont really know how to do it. what does thermal paste do??

thermal paste helps the heat transfer from the cpu to the heatsink...it acts like a transfer agent between the two. its non conductive and non corrosive, so it wont harm your cpu.

if u plan on gaming with ur computer go with windows xp home and get rid of that hard drive...get a s-ata drive with an 8mb buffer. u aslo can't have that ram u need pc 3200 (400mhz) that's the max ur motherboard supports

happy building
