I just bought all new parts for a new computer. Every single part is brand new.
I've build a few computers in the past so I'm pretty sure I did not make any of the normal mistakes.
What happens is when I turn on my computer instead of getting that trilling feeling of seeing my brand new bios running on the screen, I get a blank. All the fans (including on the video card) and drives definitely have power and respond to the computer being turned on. However, I get a dead blank screen with the monitor light indicating that it is not receiving a display.
Also, I don't hear any beeps coming from the case speaker.
My video card is fine. I tested it on another machine and it is perfect.
Is my brand new motherboard dead? Is there some trick to this board I don't know when first running it?
