Well generally the boards have both the PCI-E and PCI slots available to it.
Yeah the card wont work trying to put a PCI card in a PCI-E slot, but there should still be available PCI slots for the card, or are they trying to tell you even then the computer won't boot it?
So mobos with PCI-E can't use anything but PCI-E cards unlike AGP which can use AGP and/or PCI at the expense of performance of course?
That'd be kind of lame
