Far Cry is good, many people didn't like Doom 3, but I thought it was awesome. HL2 can't be beat either. Definately the most convincing graphics seen in a 3D shooter to date, even though it is on a less advanced engine.

It just depends what kind of FPS u want...

I like both the call of dutys they were great games.

Get Farcry or Half Life 2.

I thought Farcry was a better "game" as far as the story and gameplay goes, but Half Life 2 definitely has the most realistic environment/characters of any game to date, so they are both worth playing. I had a weird problem with my Farcry though, the sound was delayed when I shot. I click shoot and I would see the animation and everything but my sound wouldn't come until a sec. later. This is probably fixed in a patch, or just a weird freak thing with my computer, but just thought I'd mention it.

And lots of people rave about CS and CS:S but really they're not that great. As was mentioned before the community is horrible. A bunch of people who swear and hack everytime they get killed. Importing porno sprays and stuff....it's pretty stupid.

Okay, u got me there, FSW isnt a shooter, its a tactical strategy game. However, I think its really really good. if you want realistic urban firefights, this is the way to go. At least download the demo

I am a very good CS player and the last time i saw a porno spray... is well i donno last year.

I also dont see whats wrong with people swearing if the game is M15+ u sould expect swaring.

CS was for fags in 1.5 but now there are more servers and more admins to keep an eye on the servers.(Well at least thats how it is over here is Aus)

FarCry all the way! Best FPS to come out in a while, IMO. It has an interesting story, a decent variety of weapons and vehicles, and is challenging enough to keep you busy for a while. Not to mention its nice looking graphics.

Battlefield 2 for the the wicked multiplayer.
Farcry for the insane singleplayer.
HL2 for the... CS:S????
