I am in NZ, so that is why the download speeds will most likely be slow compared to what most people are used to, but some help would be appreciated
I have a 20Gb download limit per month, and it is between a 256 and 512 Kb/sec rate depending on the time of day, it has gotten up to around 800 Kb/sec early in the morning when downloading games from Steam at the end of the month, but I have noticed that the transfer rate has been getting slower. My brothers recently went over our limit, so we are back to dial-up speed, and our web provider reckons that we are getting a 70Kb/sec connection, both their webtest and their customer service said this, but when downloading on steam, with no other processes running, it is only getting between 6 and 12 Kb/sec.
Is there anything that you know of that could be causing this, like the router?
