I just installed AVG internet security 8.5, and ever since then when i open DC++ (file sharing program) it beeps constantly at me, maybe once every 2 seconds... very annoying! a little window pops up at the bottom of the screen saying that the resident shield has detected a threat upon start up of DC++, but it's just a doubleclick tracking cookie. i have turned off scan for tracking cookies, and turned off resident shield all together but it still beeps. i tried shutting down AVG but i really can't completely close it... if i shut down the process (there's like 6 processes in task manager for AVG) it will immediately start the process again.
i also looked through the AVG folder for a wav file or something that i might be able to delete so it can't beep, as well as looked for a setting in the options for sounds, but no luck.
FYI the beep is coming through the computer speakers, not the internal speaker. so, any ideas?
