Avast or AVG?

hello everyone

i want to know which one is better for virus protection?
please don't say the AVG is better because u use it or vice versa
Iam not asking which one do u use? iam asking whose better for security and which one use the least resources.

iam currently using avast home, and i never had problems with it, but most people here in TF use AVG? so why is that? is it better than avast?

I think AVG is better, I remember stumbling across a list of the top Virus protectors on here, and AVG was very high, higher than that of Avast anyway.

Avast is superior AVG is nothing but a uncompatible PoS. Avast has always lead the market with innovation from the first 64 bit virus scanner to the first "usefull" linux virus scanner.

AVG, ive used avast aswell and i didnt like it at all, the interface was poor compared to the easy layout of AVG, plus ive had AVG for months now and my pc is on the net everyday/all day and my pc is running perfect
