antivirus suggestions

i need an antivirus that will use absolutely NO system resources.

Zone Alarm usually uses 60 MB Of RAM

Norton uses...sometimes 300 MB of RAM if it wants to...



could anybody suggest an antivirus that works good and uses little or no RAM at all?

I think AVG and NOD32 are pretty good, i might try them!

Norton uses 300 MB of RAM?? lol, i have norton antivirus 2006 and it runs fine on my system and i don't think it uses that amouth of ram

on norton 2005, when it does "auto update" the ccproxy file uses up 128 MB of ram, plus the program memory


i installed NOD32 antivirus, cracked it, works perfect

avast is too buggy for me, messed up office once before

Nod32. It uses the least system resources of any Anti virus program and it's very affordable.

i think its pretty bare-bones (just scans and updates)
but it works!

I use CA ezArmor, which includes ezFirewall and ezAntiVirus. No system resources whatsoever.

which is free, really fast, doesn't use much resources (it was even fast on the 500MHZ P3 system I used to have), but is really effective. download is less than 5MB.

I was just thinking reading here.

dont u guys have "free" antivir from ur isp's?

Every isp here in Norway "gives" a antivir prog to all their customers included in the dsl price.

My ISP uses F-secure. Other uses Norman and/or Norton.
