I very recently got a new computer. A very nice gateway with two gigs of ram and a nice hard drive. But I've started having some problems. I'm always getting messages from my anti spyware programs with messages telling me that people are trying to perform portscans. What excactly are those? And now whenever I log on there is a message telling me that cmd.exe is missing. Along with that I get another message telling me that my computer jsut recovered from a system error...I really need help figuring out whats going on. Thanks.

If I were you, I'd take a look @ Warez 4 step, Warez is a smart dude when it comes to this stuff.

Yes I know what you mean I have had things happen to me like this. I have the Norton on my computer to try and keep things like this off of it.
sorry i havent responed in a while but my computer is getting worse. Now it starts over about three or more times before I can even log on. After that it tells me that it just recovered from a serious system error. About three error reports come up. I'll try to attatch a sceenshot.
