AIM reconnects

I have a very annoying problem. My AIM reconnects itself about every 15 minutes, even though I have a very steady internet connection. I have no other bandwidth programs running (as far as i know), and other people on the same network have no problem. I have tried different versions of AIM and nothing seems to help. Could someone please lend me some advice? Thanks.

maybe a problem with the AIM servers

I don't have a firewall enabled.

Are you using AOL or just AIM? AOL supposedly has a setting to disconnect AIM after so many minutes. I don't have AOL, so I don't know where it is.
