Address bar problem.

Something is really messed up with my address bar. Just yesterday when I tried typing in a site in the address bar and pressing enter, nothing happened. I tried clicking on the "GO" button as well but it won't load the page. It just stays on my homepage. This goes for any site I try to type into my address bar. For some reason, I can still access the sites in my Favourites, but I can't access a site by typing the address in. I can't even access google.

What's going on? Please help. Thanks.


Um, I just tried something. I decided to type in http://(site) and it worked, but when I just typed the site in without the http://, it didn't work. Just thought this could help.

I just resolved an issue exactly like yours. User could access all Intranet sites but no external sites. You could type any web address in the address bar and nothing would happen at all. Fixed the problem by going into Add/Remove programs and removed a program called "WeatherZone". Some program that the user swears he didnt download. You might wanna check for something in the Add/Remove program list that looks suspicious or do what was referred above and do a scan.
