A Good Webcam

So far, from what i have seen on most boxes of logitech products is the support of 640 x 480 video.

This is a tad confusing considering that, well, I don't know whether this is a good thing or bad thing. Are there other determing factors to a webcam that make it a better product then others?

how much money do you want to spend on it? if you are willing to pay $200ish you could just buy a real digital camera that has web cam capabilities. All you do is plug the camera into a usb port and it becomes a web cam.

I've heard of some cam corders that have the same abilities, any references on some of those?

well, you can "make" just about any camcorder a webcam. This artical shows you how.

It also gives 1 or 2 models that have the feature built in.

alright for camcorders, what about digital cameras?

well, I know that there are some out there because I was looking at one the other day, but I cant remember which one it was.

thanks for the first link, it was extremely helpful and i think that i'll go the camcorder route, the firewire seems to give me the right quality, but, to bad my other friends can't get a camcorder

that software may work with cameras. Find someone that has one and give it a try
