A couple issues...

Lately when I bootup my CPU usage starts out at 100% for some reason. I ran ps -ef to see what was running in the system and here's what I got:

This is after I ran sam-switch x11, so technically xgl/compiz shouldn't be running...or so I thought...

Any ideas on this list and how I can trim it down maybe?




Also - this may be related or not - when I check my messages log, it has alot of entries that look like this:

Does the CPU usage go down after it has finished loading everything? This happens to me also.

It seems that this randomly happens, but not very often. It was fixed after a reboot I think, I don't remember.

I think my main issue with Linux at the moment is using Xgl/Compiz packages and how they tend to crash after a little while. It's really frustrating, and although I love to have wobbly windows and all, I've reverted to the old ways *sniffle* As soon as they get it workin better I'll be all over it.

I guess this post was me assuming that these things had somethin to do with Xgl/Compiz. Since I've quit using it, you guys can ignore this post now
