The X1900XTX still seems to be better in 1600 x 1200 and AA.
I wouldn't call a 3FPS difference, "being better." This is an even match from a card that wasn't even supposed to come close to the X1900s.
And which 1600x1200 are you talking about? Check out the Guru3D benchmarks, the 7900GTX beats the X1900XTX in almost every single benchmark. 105FPS in FEAR on 1280x1024, with no AA isn't bad either.

But I do hear that the 7900GTX is a great overclocker and reaches 700mhz+ core 1800mhz memory on air. I am waiting till I see some OCed benches.
XFX is putting out a 750/1900 version of the 7900GTX.

I do not trust those anandtech reviews one bit. I'm not sure if they underclocked the X1900s or what but a 7800 GTX 512MB should not have almost identical frames on FEAR with 1600 by 1200 with AA.
Why the heII do you guys have to think that there's some kind of conspiracy every fugging time someone out of the ordinary happens? The 7800GTX-512MB DOES beat the X1900XTX in some cases, thats a freaking fact. Brtnboarder, the performance of the card has nothing to do with the price or production. The point is, the 7800GTX-512MB CAN beat the X1900XTX, but its not common.
Anandtech is one of the best Hardware Review Websites on the Internet, if not the best. If you don't trust them, then feel free to go out and spend $20,000 on all those cards and find out for yourself. They're there to buy the cards and benchmark them so we don't have to.
EDIT: I just looked at what you're talking about Beefcake, and it makes perfect sense. The 7900GT, which is really just a 7800GTX equivalent, gets 32FPS on that. The 7800GTX-512MB, which is obviously better than the 7800GTX and 7900GT is getting 40FPS, perfectly fitting it's performance increase. Then you have the X1900XT with 41FPS, 7900GTX with 42FPS, and X1900XTX with 43FPS. Perfectly fitting their performance. If they underclocked the X1900XTX (an amazingly ignorant suggestion, seeing as this website is visited by millions every day...) then the 7900GTX should be doing much better.
But lets not dwell on that, there are atleast 3 other Major hardware review websites that report the same performance.
