Haha, well... problem solved? If you do happen to get the problem again you can get some kind of audio extension cord (I have one, it came with some DJ headphones that I got ages ago) and then just have it within reach for switching out your headphones and speakers. Or some kind of other solution.

Oh god yea...I might even go so far as to say any dx11 capable GPU is a significant step up from an 8600gts... I could be wrong though. Any ways, a gts 450 is a good option (if you don't want to get the 5770...) in that price range.

Fixed it, I'll post some pictures when I have time and the right lighting I guess. I have some advice for anyone attempting the fix. Get adhesive that has the right thickness. Don't worry about buying a $20 screen off of ebay, most are the same as OEM's direct from HTC or Verizon (or better)...

If you can do it and stay within the safe temps and voltage zones and you have it stable then... yea it is worth the time. Every little bit helps and plus OC'ing is fun :) You won't see major improvements 100mhz at a time though. But I would guess your score of 3839 might jump to 3900. Maybe...

My friend had a Droid Incredible for a while now and dropped it over the winter break. Apparently these awesome phones break easily. He got a new one somehow (either bought it or maybe they gave him a new one) and he gave me the one with the cracked screen! I got my dad a moto droid last year...

Can we add some of the new Sandy Bridge IGP's soon? :) They really look like they could make super budget rigs capable of playing games on low settings. Possibly to hold someone over until they can afford a proper GPU.

I am very impressed with the stock cooling on the GTX460. I don't think heat is an issue. But I wouldn't be surprised if your right and it does help you get slightly higher clocks.
