Your right, i didn't realize there isn't an agp version. Agp is being phased out, so if they don't have a card now, they probably wont have much incentive to make one later. In this case, i would say go with the 3850 then.

If your gonna upgrade, dont go half way and be stuck with something that may not make it strong in 09. I say bump it up to a 3870, instead of the 3850.

Go for an 8800gt if you can afford it. The Ati 3870 is also a solid piece of hardware. If you want something cheaper and if you dont mind not having DX10, an ATI x1950 Pro is about 150 dollars? last time i checked and it is decent also. If you get any of the above cards, your gonna need to step...

the 8800gts 512 dosent exist, they come in 320 and 640 megs.

The 9600 is NOT a true 9k series card. Its a low cost scaled down 8800GT. Read the actual specifications before you say your disappointed by the WHOLE 9 series, seeing as there is a grand total of 1 card out now.

Like ive been saying the past 2 days in this forum, don't get the 9600. It is based on the old g92 core and is just a low cost model of essentially a scaled down 8800gt. Spend the extra cash, and go with a solid 8800GT or 3870 that will perform well for years.

Not trying to start a flame war or start anything bad here, but be cautious about Hilton's link. The website looks thrown together and he seems a bit friendly for a forum post. You never know what that "anyclient" program really is. Just some advice.
