The rough sizes are about 4.39 or even 4.41, i know the transcoding on nero or anything else similar will take awhile, but will it fit on the standard DVD-R?

you can fit HD vid onto standard DVD media...

don't think it will be playable on dvd players but you won't be able to put long video on it.

that's the weirdness of the whole dvd/HI Def DVD world (hddvd/blue ray)...

I have a HIGH DEF DVD player...it plays formats from asia, HVD...not 1080p but it's 720p...it's standard DVD media, just using an alternate compression scheme.

Windows Media 9 also had movies on standard DVD media...not sure if they went above 720p for movies on standard DVD

You can put it on, but not play it on a standard dvd player.

Or in HD for that matter....
