Ive got utorrent, and a 512k internet connection. I heard it was way faster to download using bittorrent, but its staying around 49-52kbs which is what i usually get. does anybody know how fast its meant to be when i download stuff?

ywah those speeds seem about fine for your connnecition, however you could slightly increase your speed if you join a private tracker

speeds are normal. i'm coming to the conclusion that having only the number of torrents recommended by the speed guide is the amount you should be downloading, tho myself i adjusted up to 80% of max and down to 90% of max, with half open to 80% of max

On private trackers I usually leach at 800KB/s/6400Kb (my main one has closed )

That is about right including overheads.

kwl, thanks for that. I ended up joining a private tracker, and my speeds did improve, so im happy now
