XVID to dvd

Hello,
You would have to use Alcohol 120% or Nero's InCD to delete the disc. those are the best applications i have found to erase a DVD-RW.
But i must ask. Why spend all the time converting the file to a DVD and burning it just to watch it and delete it? Why not just burn it a DVD+/- R and keep it forever? Who knows you might want to watch it sometime in the future.
Plus again i come back to this point where the Write once media is far cheaper to use that Rewritable media. This is the same point that was made to you with the CD-RW media.
