Default xp registration

i never knew how winxp rego worked before but my frend told me about it and i think its fairly stupid.

he bought a new comp and got an XP pro. he has 2 older comps in his house all running other windowses. So he installs XP on the new comp and then goes to install it on another one (phone rego is used). he gets the error message that its already been installed, phones up the rego number and tells them its a mistake. Without asking any questions they 'resolve' the problem and he installs it on the second comp. same proceadure used on the third comp.

whats the point of the protection if thats all it takes to bypass it?

Have A Nice Day
