We are putting together a computer from scratch and will run XP pro. It successfully formatted the hard drive via the DVD drive. It starts at "39 minutes left" for installing windows itself. at 35 minutes, it gets stuck.

It gives this error message.

"A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer. If this is the 1st time seeing thes screen, restart your comuter. If the 2nd time, follow these steps:

*Check to be sure you have adequate disk space.

(200GB hd)

*If a driver is identified in the stop message, disable the driver or check w/ the manufacturer for driver updates.

(No drivers loaded I think)

*Try changing video adapters

Tried and didn't work.

*Check with your hardware vendor for any BIOS updates

(didn't do yet)

* Disable BIOS memory options such as caching or shadowing If you need to use safe mode to remove or disable components, restart your computer, press F8 to select Advanced startup options and select safe mode.
