Windows OS Compatabilty with AM3

Can I install Windows XP x32 on X64 hardware..namely MSI 770-G45 with an Phenom 2 quad core

I don't know, lol. Last night I helped a friend put his new PC together..and was going to let him borrow my XP disc until his Win 7 came in..but, he was saying that x32 couldn't run on x64..I told him it could but wasn't sure of myself so we posted . Thanks Mak for clearing that up!

Just because it has the 64 Bit archicture doesnt mean anything. It can still run 32 Bit. The only difference is that 64 bit CPU's can run 64 Bit while 32 Bit can't.
