I am useing a router (SMC7004VBR)

and for some reason I can't sign into windows live messenger while I am pluged into it

(+ sometimes I can't upload or send pictures, and the connection will time out occasionally)

If I unplug my line from the router and plug it strait into the dsl thing it works fine...

also, windows messenger 4.7 works fine with the router

does anybody know what's wrong?

-------here's the error I keep getting:---

I've done the troubleshoot thing and everything checks out fine

I'm not very knowledgeable when it comes to networking.. so I hope somebody can give me some easy instructions to follow to resolve this problem

thanx in advance

Well i get this sometime with my DLink router. What i do is just a soft reset of the router. Go to your router setupo and reset it. If you can. My Linksys router doesnt have that option so i have to reset the PC a couple of times for it to allow the connection.

ok.. I reset it... but still no messenger

now I get this error code:

80072efd

edit: after I did the "troubleshoot"

I started getting the first error code again...

Error Code: 80048820
