"Windows could not search for new updates"?

i noticed this just today AFTER downloading this attached file named:

Windows6.0-KB940105-x86, it's a Microsoft Update Standalone Package.

a message showed after i installed n tried playing the Hellgate: London demo. It recommended me to download it from Microsoft's official site i think for my graphics cards n for multiple graphics card support.

ever since then, my update hasnt been working, at least from what i noticed today since everyday at 3am Windows checks for updates. I checked my update history n it doesnt show that i downloaded it.

what's going on? What i do wrong?

unpack it...open up the command window

expand -f:* "Windows6.0-KB940105-x86.msu" %TEMP%
then
pkgmgr.exe /n:%TEMP%Windows6.0-KB940105-x86.xml

wait here it is. It is suppose to be a hotfix for Windows of some sort.

it's for those who use multiple GPUs to run Vista n i installed it lol.

EDIT 2:

as my sig shows, lol, i have no dual core GPU or Crossfire so that messed it up somehow. Not to worry, im planning on getting the HD 3870 x2 anyways n possibly another when the R700 comes out. That is, if HD 3870 x2 does well as i hope it does.

I have a SLI (2 x 8800 GT) so I really need to install this fix, i followed the instructions but nothing happenned after pkgmgr.exe /n:%TEMP%Windows6.0-KB940105-x86.xml , the KB940105 isnt listed in the installed updates list,l it should be listed right??

btw my windows is in spanish but i think you can clearly see that nothing happened after the last command
