Windows 7 in VMWare

How do I enable Aero on my Win 7 VM desktop? I already installed the VMWare tools to obtain my high resolution, what else?

Aero should be enabled by default. If it is not then the video device is not capable of running Aero.

I highly doubt virtual hardware is capable of rendering the Aero interface.

I am running a 3870 X2 and I thought one GPU would run my physical desktop and the other one do the virtual one

I dont think it works that way. Unless there is a option within VMWare to assign one of the cores for the video card i highly doubt that this would happen.

Have you got the latest Vista Drivers?

yeah, all of them are latest official (not beta) from ATI, but I don't see such option in VM

You can't, a virtual machine will run at most 95% of the speed an efficiency of a real physical computer, aero on vista inside a VM will not run and so far I haven't seen it in Win7.

Some software such as modern games will refuse to run in a VM.
