I have Windows 7 Ultimate x32 on my ASUS Eee 1005HA. Now, It has worked well since I put it on several months ago.

So here's the gist. When logging in to Windows, it shows the welcome screen, then my Windows bar is black. It shows an error in the notification era. A picture shown here:

startup_error.png
I've never seen this before, whatsup?!

Thinking this was just a hiccup, I have seen it several times since. Always when I log out and login, it is fine. But after this happened a few dozen times, explorer freezes, and resets many times. It is fine after a few restarts. I also did a Scandisc on my C partition. Nothing found wrong.

Edit: Also programs do not start on startup. Comodo Antivirus and Logitech Setpoint. They are active and listed in msconfig

Thinking that was the worst, I have received several BSOD's just today. This did not stop me from logging into Windows, but after a few minutes on the desktop, and it restarts. Then I restart a few times, and it's fine again. My dump files attached .

I am on my Netbook at the moment. I will only be on it from time to time, as I am on vacation with it. Anything I should run, as Memtest, I will have wait to do when I get back home.

The issue is with the Kernel. You might get lucky and just have a bad video driver. But if not you will be heading for a reinstall.
