Default "win me" -to- win2000

can i safely upgrade my windows ME (which sucks) to windows 2000, without any problems. Should i make a backup of all my stuff and then load 2000? is it that simple, thanks, sorry if im stupid haha.

You will want to reformat when moving from ME to 2000. The two platforms are incompatable. However, the reward you will get from doing that reformat then upgrading to 2000 is more than worth it. 2000 is so much better of an OS than ME.

2000 will seem heavy, cant u get XP?

You cannot upgrade from ME to 2k.
I would get XP. You can upgrade to XP but I would format.

well then how come i did it with no prob...
win2k is definitely the best os i've ever used, XP looks too...gaudy? maybe? i dont like it
