Your windows 8 key is stored in the bios of your laptop, this will get it for you

Windows 10 free upgrade will only work if you have a legitimate version of Windows 7 SP1 or Windows 8.1.
Nobody as of yet that I know....knows how W10 will activate via the bios (KMS ? ). We must wait until W10 RTM is out first
Windows 10 might install without your activation of Windows 8.1, but Windows 10 will ask to be activated after you install. You have to have Windows 8.1 to be eligible for 10's upgrade (you have to upgrade from w8 to w 8.1)
