Upgrading Graphics Drivers

Hello All,

I'm about to install Nvidia's 175.19 drivers for my 8600GT but I have a few questions on upgrading. I've been reading through various articles about how to do it. Some say you just have to install it with the d/l .exe but others say you have to use Driver Cleaner to get rid of the old drivers. Can anyone give me a definite answer as to the more effective method?

When I update graphics drivers I just install the downloaded exe and have never had any problems.

It's best to use Driver Cleaner Pro; stops any potential problems from coming up.

I always use it when I update my graphics drivers: Driver Cleaner Professional download from Guru3D.com

I uninstall the old drivers and then use a registry cleaner, CCleaner to be exact, then I go ahead reboot and install the new drivers.
