Default Send to

I have a problem in XPpro/SP2

My system has two drives "C" and "D" and has R/W DVD at "E" and CD at "F"

If I want to send a program or file the options available are to DVD and not to CD as well as other items.

I have tried to change this in "Send to" but it fails as it cannot accept F:\

How do I get or change to CD?

Send a message via Yahoo to talldude123

F is a CD-ROM. It doesnt matter anyways.

Go to Start -> Run
Type "sendto" in the dialog box
Press enter.
Add a shortcut to whatever you want to put in the context menu.

No, it is Sony CRX230D

The curious state of affairs is that it will write to a CD R/W
but not to CD R. whereas The DVD player will write to a CD R with no difficulty

I cannot find a driver other than the XP version though I note that others have also sought a driver.

Sendto will not accept punctuation marks so cannot use F:
so had to call it CD Drive (F) even though the default was DVD drive (F
