Default removing XP

hello

i have an acer laptop with XP preinstalled. i want to remove that and install win 2000 operation system

any ideas how i can do this.

(having probs with mozilla firefox installation and frankly couldnt care less about XP)

insert your 2000 disk. reboot, format, and install it

i tried that but it dosent accept my win 2000

says it s an old version..whatever that means

Don't place the CD in the drive while Windows XP is running. Windows will not let you "downgrade" operating systems.

Reboot the computer, press F2 or Delete on the keyboard, and boot from the Windows 2000 CD. Follow the on-screen directions.
