T talldude123 Banned Messages 7,915 Jun 9, 2006 #2 you can do a repair install. Just boot up from the Windows CD, and then press "R" to repair the OS. Otherwise, buy some CDs/DVDs, and get ready to backup!

T talldude123 Banned Messages 7,915 Jun 9, 2006 #4 you can't backup your software settings. You can backup your music files, documents, favorites, etc. If you are running XP PRO, it has a back-up utility, but i havent used it.
