Jpeg and Tiff files..maybe even gif file

Hello. I would like to know what the best 'program' or 'application' that someone
is supposed to or should use to view the resulting picture file?

There are some programs that do this that I have on my computer by default but
I was wondering which one I should use..or I could potentially download off
of the internet?

Jpg/Tiff you can just use the default Windows Picture Viewer.

In Vista/7/8, the picture viewer doesn't work with animated GIF's, so if you want to see an animated GIF, then you'll need to open it in a web browser.
