Tomorrow my friend and I are going to buy him a new harddrive from Best Buy, and I'm going to install it and put Windows XP Pro on it.
Anything I should know about installing Windows on a fresh harddrive? I don't know if it's going to be preformatted or whatever, but I found a site saying that when you install Windows XP on a fresh harddrive, you have to partition it, making sure it's a system partion and all (and that the XP CD has apps that let you do this), before installing the XP files and such.
I've reinstalled Windows98 before, but never done any first-time-OS type things, or any WindowsXP stuff.
