How do you control volume with keyboard?

I know there are lots of shortcuts in windows using the "windows" key, i.e. Win+D gives desktop, Win+E gets you "My Computer" , Win+R gives "Run" command, etc.

Is there any shortcut like that to control volume? I don't have a media keyboard and its annoying to minimize a game just to change the volume.

I'm running Win 7 RC. I know there are some utilities that can do this but I'd rather not bloat my computer.

Why couldn't you just turn down the volume on your speakers itself?

Not that I know of; tried all the obvious combos RQ... PS Win and the + key makes your entire screen zoom to 200% that was fun.

Unless you have a keyboard with a specific function designed for this, you won't have any luck as AFAIK there are no Windows combinations to do that.

There is no default keyboard Windows key combination. Must get a media specific mouse/keyboard or specialized software like AutoHotKey.
