Home DVDs - storage on computer

Hi,

I have around 7 home DVDs that have been recored from my Dads Camcorder, that have been burned to DVD. I was wondering if there was a way to rip the home DVDs onto the computer, so i dont need to put in the DVD to watch the home video and instead launch the file from the hard disk?

Sure can. This program here along with many other programs out there can do it. Sadly there are very few free ones that do it well.

You could also make an iso, an image, of the dvd, and use a virtual drive to load it, like deamon tools.
