Re: BSOD on Vista Ultimate (Completing Installation....)

Have you checked the 2 sticky topics i have created about Stop Error Codes and how to decode them?

http://www.techist.com/forums/f9/how-troubleshoot-specific-stop-errors-193301/
http://www.techist.com/forums/f9/decoding-stop-errors-193078/

Information and a website is given on where to check what the Stop Error code is.

Bug Check 0x116: VIDEO_TDR_ERROR

It is your Video Card.

Merged topics. Please dont start a new one when you already have a topic open about the same issue. Thank you.

The issue is the video card. The drivers are not correct and are causing your problem. Either remove the Video card and go with your onboard video or replace it.

It may help if you post your system specs.. whats your CPU, motherboard, video, memory.. any one of these can cause issue during install and as Mak pointed out, your stop code error says it's a Video driver issue..

your alternative is to go back to XP (re-install) until you get a new video card that supports Vista, if thats the problem.
I just picked up an PCI 8400 for one of my older machines and Win7 works flawlessly.
