Default Hardrive Space Increased

Hi, I was looking at my hardrive at one point and it was 19.9 Gb filled up. I come back in an hour or so from watching TV and open the window again and it shows I only have 19.5 Gb space filled. I mean, I guess this is a good thing but I wanted to know how this happened. I did not delete anything, do not have any spam or virus, did not compress anything, or download anything to cause something to delete, nor do I have anyone in my family that could delete something while I am away. This is really wierd and wanted to clear it up, thanks.

Does anyone have any idea at all, or even seen this before? Anything would be great.

sometimes it could be the hard drive saving information, such as system restore, or its clearing temp internet files...anything could happen.

In today's computer world, 400MB is nothing...

Most likely system restore files located at C:\System Volume Information or temp/temp IE files located at C:\documents and settings\user\local settings\

These folders are not visible by default.
