FireFox (with only one add-on) runs slow with modalbox or flash

My computer was running fine up until a week ago. When I open a modalbox window (ModalBox — An easy way to create popups and wizards) or a flash element on a website, it slows down and the mouse lags and becomes choppy. It's barely usable.

I have one add-on installed which is the TinyURL Creator... Other then that it seems to be a fresh install.

I have the latest version of FF...

Any ideas what could be wrong?

Do you have the latest Flash, Shockwave and Java? Have you tried to block Flash and see if that helps? Have you gone through the Osiris Guide just to make sure?
